For any bike/quads/UTV's - it's that time of year again!!! Whiplash Offroad is AZ's Desert Race organization, and it's most popular race is the Snowflake race, held up in the mountains of Heber.......
The fun starts this upcoming Labor Day Weekend - Friday is the poker run, with racing happening all weekend!!
This race is the best race of the year in Arizona - out of them all!!! Anyone who has raced Snowflake knows it's a blast, anyone who hasn't should give it a shot and come up to the mountains to have an awesome weekend!!!
The course is a looped course of about 20-25 miles per loop....it's 4 laps with a GP finish.....the reason I love this course is because it changes into about 4 distinct terrains and there aren't any whoops - YAY!.....starts off on some fast high speed fire roads through the meadowlands (watch for the deep cutouts!)......then you hit the steep, loose, rocky powerline road where picking a good line is important (watch for that g-out at the bottom of the last hill!)......then you hit the woods section, which is one of my favorites.....tight, twisty, banked turns and you almost always see someone with too much armpump flying off the course.......then you hit the burnt out section, which is eerily pretty with flowers and new growth everywhere, but that part is ROUGH....hidden roots and rocks everywhere........then back to the high speed fire roads till you make it through to the infield and your pit area!! Then back out to do it all over again!!!
It's always monsoon season in Sept.....so every year I have been there we have either gotten ALOT of rain (mud!!!) or just enough rain to make it less dusty and smell good!!! Either way, the thunderstorms are always very cool!
There will be ALOT of UTV's and buggies this year!!!! I also expect a ton of quads/bikes as well!! The 900 class (this is all Whiplash first timers) is always HUGE at Snowflake!
For your friends with trucks or buggies, Whiplash also has truck and buggy classes- they will race 6 laps at NIGHT this year!!!

This race is getting close!!!! ooooooo!!! SHould be fun?? So....will Jason beat me in the super rhino, or will stock win over modified on this one?? Hmmmmmm.......

OOOOOOOoooooooohhhhhhhhhhh! We will see...... I think that the Super Rhino will do just fine.
